About the Forum
"As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."
~ Proverbs 27:1

“Building & Re-building Men” is a discussion forum among fathers, ministers, and community leaders exploring factors that help or hinder men and boys.
Panelists represent a wide range of men who are committed to empowering men and boys to succeed in life. We will also address the issue of the “prison pipeline” and explore the keys to successful re-entry for men returning from incarceration.
Each panelist will contribute his unique perspectives to the discussion. Pastor Bryan Hudson will moderate the session, and we encourage participants and viewers to engage and submit written questions.
We will explore various topics that impact men and boys, including education, relationships, conflict, criminal justice, discipleship, and re-entry.
While we may not solve all the problems during this session, we aim to share ideas, identify best practices, and forge relationships that can lead to positive outcomes for men and boys.
This panel discussion will be hosted at New Covenant Church. The forum will also be streamed live on YouTube.

Jim Cotterill
Jim Cotterill co-founded 2nd Chance Indiana with his wife Nancy, under its original name, Unite Indy, in 2016 with the initial purpose of bringing resources to the table in the form of money, goods, and volunteers to fight poverty in Indianapolis. It didn’t take long for them to realize that those who had it the toughest were those being released from incarceration and their families. They began to focus their efforts more intensely on reentrants, which took them beyond the boundaries of Marion County. To better describe the work they were doing and the area they were serving, the Cotterills changed the name of the organization from Unite Indy to 2nd Chance Indiana.
The mission of 2nd Chance Indiana is to reduce recidivism and rebuild lives through the dignity of work.
